January 2, 2004 :: Playing Live
Well, I learned that I can play live last Friday. We did the performance at Joe's Pub in NYC, and it went very well, despite the fact that the computer died, thus eliminating all of my backing tracks and my synthesizers. So it was just the live band: piano, bass, guitar, drums, violin and Lisbeth. It seems, according to the reception that we got, and from the conversations that I had with audience members afterwards, that no one missed anything.
So: The next big thing that I am going to be organizing in my life is touring. Properly. Multiple cities, multiple performances. It's time.
