	When it came time to start ARIA 3, I found myself being drawn to earlier peroids of composition, i.e. pre-1750. There are three pieces derived from Handel: Onbra Mai Fu, Lascia, and Furioso, and one from Monteverdi: Ascension. Particularly Ombra, Lascia, and Ascension have a floating other-worldly character that is somewhat unlike anything that I've ever done before.
